Successful movie stars such as Hamed Behdad, Morteza Ahmadi, Mehran Modiri, and Mohammad Reza Golzar are prefect examples of actors-turned-singers in Iran.
While examples of actors-turned-singers are abundant across the globe, the trend for change metamorphosis is still new in Iran.
Veteran Iranian actor Morteza Ahmadi who passed away a few years ago was among such artists. He revived Tehran folklore music by performing various pieces in the Iranian music genre.
Another example is Behdad who recently rejoined Iranian music band Darkoub.
A media report said Saturday the actor along with ‘Darkoub’ band is due to perform a concert at Milad Tower, one of the most iconic landmarks in Iranian capital city of Tehran.
The concert marks the 10th anniversary of the band formation with director of the group, Homayoun Nasiri, quoted by the media as saying that "Behdad is a talented singer who accompanied Darkoub since the initial years of the band."
Well-known Iranian comedian Mehran Modiri even pushed his singing ability to the next level, using his performed pieces as the end-credits songs of his own TV shows.
